Ok, so, I'm not so much of a techie person. You can let me use the latest gadgets, and I'll only try to learn the basics. Don't force me to buy it, coz I'd rather spend it on shopping or on a holiday. LOL
Nor am I the gaming type. The only game I think that I really got interested in was Dance Revo - and that doesn't really count as a game either haha! But just last week, Mike introduced me to something I didn't think I'd REALLY enjoy - cooking on Nintendo DS! I got hooked instantly! I was so engrossed in it, I could hang out with my berks til the wee hours of the morning without complaining haha! And for those of you who really know me, you know perfectly well how clueless I am when it comes to cooking! hehehehe
And soooooooo...being the wonderful boyfriend that he is (charing!), Mike bought one for each of us - para daw walang OP, and so that we could do multiple players! Yey!!!
Thank you, Baby for this wonderful Anniversary gift - I forgive you na for forgetting hahahahaha This tops our ipods from last year! Next year.....laptops? ASA KA PA, NANI
A few months back, I went to visit Mike in Manila while he was doing his review for the board. On one lovely evening, we went around Eastwood with Hann and Marco. We had dinner at Teriyaki Boy, and decided to take a stroll before stopping at Seattle's Best for a cup of coffee.
Beside the coffee shop, we found a small stall with one lady and a guy eagerly waiting for customers to indulge in their cute little offering - the guy was doing caricatures!
So, Hann and I scrambled through our things to look for photos we could use to have caricatures made of us. I found a photo each of Mike and me, while Hann found one of her mom.
We went back to Seattle's Best to enjoy our coffee, while waiting for our caricatures. About an hour later, we got our really cool drawings!
Ang sexy namin, diba?? Harharhar!
It's been raining for days now; and today, I feel like I'm dragging my ass off the bed to get to work.
So, I do my usual routine - get up, check last night's sales, have breakfast, do the cafe's accounting, prepare money for the bank, check my e-mail, check my store, chat with friends who are online on YM...and now, my head has gone blank.
Call me a lazy dog. Honestly...I think I'm just scared to go take a shower HARHAR! It IS cold! And I just want to curl back into bed, and return to my hybernating state.
I wish I didn't have reports to submit today. I wish I didn't have to worry about deadlines for end-of-the-month paperwork. I wish I don't have to think about payrolls I need to prepare. I wish...I wish...
I wish I could call my boss, and call in sick.
But I can't call myself now, can I?
Pfft.
Wish me luck.

I'm bored.
Globelines is so slow, even a turtle walks faster.
I can't view the forum; I can't play online.
I wish I could go to the beach.
This sucks.
Hey, guys! My mom and I are in desperate search for coats and jackets for our respective trips. Kindly post your links here if you currently have these. Thanks in advance!
After months of chaos in my life, I finally found the perfect time (and excuse!) to take a weekend off! So, I packed my bags, hopped on a plane, and off I was to visit my beloved, sister, and friends in Cebu! Oh, how I missed Cebu! It was raining the first day I was there - but I wasn't bound to have my spirits dampened by that `coz I had a pretty good list of things to do. Aside from my usual fave eats that i MUST go to, I missed Starbucks to death! I didn't know how excited I was `til I saw the signage down the path as we walked down from the main building of the Ayala Mall to the what used to be a lonely structure of Starbucks - now being surrounded by the chaos of what they call "construction" pfft. I didn't mind that we were sitting in what looked like "Kuya's" bahay, instead of what used to be the open-air-overlooking-the-lagoon/smoking area of Starbucks. I was merely glad to have my cup, as I was catching up with my beloved, sister, and friends from Tacloban. (I only bumped into one college friend, who giddily introduced me to his new boyfriend. Miss you, Keith!) I'm so used to seeing new buildings, new stores, new everything each time I go back to Cebu that I don't get surprised anymore. What made my jaw drop this time though, was the new wing over at SM. It was totally gorgeous! It made me forget I was just in Cebu! The best part of the new wing (well, aside from the new stores that I never would've thought would open in Cebu) was POWERBOOKS! Finally, a branch in Cebu! I have always been in love with books, and this was the only bookstore that would overwhelm me! Haha! I told Mike that this was the only store I would shop at, and he happily obliged. Syempre, that would mean book shopping for him too hehehehe He already picked three books, while I was still empty-handed. But I was bound to stay until I found new reads to bring home, so I patiently went scanning around, as Mike patiently waited, and scanned some more LOL After about 30 minutes of looking around, with my sister (who dropped in after a few) trying to stop me from purchasing too much, I decided to go with just 3 reads. Oh! We saw two friends from Tacloban scanning around too, and we also fooled around with the books on sale. Never mind that some people were staring at us `coz we were teasing and laughing at each other in Waray-waray harhar! I'm back home now. Breaks are always BITIN, but I enjoyed nevertheless. I'm excited to read my books as I have read good reviews about them. I'm also glad I had another cup at Starbucks last night to end my break. But...I miss my baby a lready huhuhu I'll be back soon! hmph! Hehehe

"Corporate billionaire Edward Cole (Jack Nickolson) and working class mechanic Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) have nothing in common except for their terminal illnesses. While Sharing a hospital room together, they decide to leave it and do all the things they have ever wanted to do before they die according to their bucket list. In the process, both of them heal each other, become unlikely friends, and ultimately find the joy in life."
Unlike most people who were out partying or putting off every single firecracker on hand, I decided to watch a movie to welcome the new year. Nice choice, I must say..because I picked The Bucket List as my movie for the evening. As I read the synopsis behind the case, I immediately thought it was too morbid of me to watch anything death-related on New Year's Eve; but decided "why not?"
The reviews for this movie weren't quite positive, yet I found it most interesting. I have read Tuesdays With Morrie, Tao of Pooh, Siddhartha, books by Paolo Coelho, and other inspirational/philosophical books I could get my hand on at National Bookstore, and I must say that this movie is definitely now a part of my to-refer-to list.
It is funny how we have all these must-do-this-year-coz-i-never-got-to-do-it-ever lists year after year after year. And it is only when we think time is running out that we, either 1)regret not doing what we always promised to do; or 2)cram all items in whatever time that's left for us.
One of my professors in college made me realize a different approach into making these "lists," - thinking that there would be a bigger possibility of them actually happening. This approach is called the S.M.A.R.T. approach, and I've also read other people recommend this here and there. In case your approaches aren't too successful, you might want to try that out.
But then again - to each his own. I find that having a "bucket list" IS a simple way of putting it. And finding the joy in your life, really, shouldn't be all that hard.
Happy New Year, guys
